In her own words

“After receiving the Trongsa Penlop Scholarship, I was privileged to pursue my nursing education at Acharya Institute in Bangalore, India, where I completed a three-year Diploma in Nursing. Upon completing my studies, I returned home and joined the health service in Lunana.

For the past six years, I have had the privilege of serving the people of my community, providing healthcare in one of Bhutan’s most remote regions. I continue to serve in Lunana with dedication and a deep sense of responsibility towards the wellbeing of my people. Above all, my deepest and everlasting gratitude goes to His Majesty The King for the precious opportunity to receive the Trongsa Penlop Scholarship. It was more than a scholarship—it was an opportunity that changed the course of my life and made possible a dream I once could only hope for. It enabled me to become a nurse and return to serve the very community I call home.

Every day I serve in Lunana, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to have been given this opportunity. I will carry this gratitude in my heart for the rest of my life and strive to honour it by serving my people with sincerity, dedication and compassion.”
